Experimental furnace miniFUR3
miniFUR3 is a medium-sized experimental furnace for indicative (preliminary) fire resistance tests of building products and non-load-bearing structural elements without external load. It is used to verify the behaviour of materials and structures under fire loads before a full scale 1:1 test.

How the furnace is built
- the furnace forms mobile modular box about internal light dimensions 0.8 x 0.8 x 1.2 m (W x H x D),
- furnace ventilation is secured naturally by means of holes in the side wall modules,
- steel frame construction with removable wall modules provided heat-resistant cladding,
- gas burner integrated into the floor furnace withautomatic regulation of heat output simulates the thermal effects of fire.
Measurements and Scenarios
- in total eight thermocouples — four under the ceiling and four in the lower part of the furnace,
- the possibility of controlling the temperature course according to two fire scenarios:
- standard temperature curve (ISO 834),
- external fire curve.
Configuration for development and testing
The indicative test is used for the development and preliminary verification of the product. It is not a substitute for a full-scale test carried out within the scope of accreditation and is not in itself the basis for a fire classification.
- wall sample (a),
- ceiling sample (b),
- wall and ceiling sample assembly (c),
- assembly of two wall and ceiling samples (d),
- test sample placed inside the furnace (e).
